And so, the registration process became Ning Chu’s job to communicate, while Wen Yang was responsible for recording.
Even online, Ning Chu didn’t want Wen Yang talking to other girls, so he took over the task of gathering and summarizing the registrations.
Wen Yang only needed to fill in the registration forms with the information Ning Chu collected.
“Lin Li, she’s signing up for high jump, and there’s a singing and dance performance for New Year’s.”
“Shan Shan, she signed up for the long-distance run and shot put... This girl could probably punch me to death.”
“Yuan Yuan... Who is she again?”
While Wen Yang was writing down the details, he answered, “The girl who invited me to the bar.”
Zhang Shaoqing, who was playing a game, instinctively turned around to look at Ning Chu.
“She’s signing up for long jump.”
Noticing Zhang Shaoqing’s gaze, Ning Chu teased and tested, “What’s the matter? Still can’t forget your childhood sweetheart?”
By the looks of it, he seemed just like any normal person who recently broke up.
Celebrating a bit inside, Ning Chu continued dictating the collected registration information to Wen Yang.
It was already Friday, and Ning Chu was gradually getting used to waking up at 7:30 every day, taking a two-hour break at noon, and attending classes until 6 in the evening.
But weekends were a challenge for him.
Even though they had agreed to spend the weekend in the library, whether it was Wen Yang suddenly changing his mind to accept an invitation from a girl or just the thought of spending two dull days reading in the library, it was tough for Ning Chu either way.
“Yan Xinya, signed up for the 100-meter sprint... No girls invited you out this weekend?”
As he continued recording the registration information, he suddenly changed the subject.
Wen Yang was stunned, looked at him blankly, and shook his head, “No, I haven’t spoken to any girls these days.”
“Tsk, tsk~ Henpecked husband, henpecked husband~”
Ignoring Zhang Shaoqing’s teasing, Ning Chu asked again, “Has no one contacted you online?”
“I didn’t add any of them as friends...”
Though Wen Yang’s words sounded sincere, Ning Chu still shifted his chair closer.
He first glanced up at Zhang Shaoqing, who was always teasing him about his shame, and then asked quietly, “How about we link our accounts?”
Ning Chu knew that linking social media accounts was something only couples did, but his concern over Wen Yang triggering some kind of “plot” overshadowed his hesitation.
“Come on, let’s link them! I promise I won’t read your chat history.”
Wen Yang rubbed his nose, feeling like the girly scent around Ning Chu was getting stronger, making him dream about Ning Chu from time to time.
And it seemed to be getting more powerful...
He subconsciously bent down, took the registration form and placed it on his thigh, and then glanced again at Ning Chu’s expectant, slightly flushed face.
“No?” Ning Chu frowned.
“Fine...” Wen Yang, seeing that Ning Chu hadn’t noticed anything, sighed in relief and agreed, though a bit reluctantly.
Over the past week, Ning Chu had been getting increasingly excessive.
Wherever he went, Ning Chu followed, even waiting outside the restroom during breaks.
Now, he wanted to control his social media accounts.
Oddly, though logic told him to resist, Ning Chu really smelled nice.
Although they were both male, being around Ning Chu always inexplicably lifted his mood.
Even though he wasn’t gay, he must admit that Ning Chu was genuinely pretty...
The way Ning Chu treated him could easily make people misunderstand.
Wen Yang sighed softly and logged into his account on Ning Chu’s phone.
“OK~” Ning Chu let out a cheerful chuckle, quickly opening Wen Yang’s account to check the chat history.
“Knew it... Weren’t you supposed to not look?”
Wen Yang shook his head, helpless and troubled.
If only Ning Chu were a girl...
Even if Ning Chu admitted he liked men, Wen Yang wouldn’t be as conflicted as he was now.
“No one really talks dirty with you, huh?” Ning Chu muttered quietly. “Did you delete the messages?”
“No, too lazy to delete them.”
Feeling a bit uncomfortable, Wen Yang stood up. “I’m going to the bathroom and then take a nap.”
He hurriedly walked to the bathroom, feeling uncomfortable all over.
