In "Global Collapse" by Intermittent Lazarus Syndrome, Gu Mian is introduced as the unluckiest person alive, constantly facing assassination attempts through everyday accidents. His life takes a turn when the Global Evolution Game begins, a system initiated by Earth itself that allows players to improve themselves by completing challenges. Despite the game's global nature, Gu remains a target, facing disadvantages such as restricted game functions compared to other players. However, he also possesses unique abilities, like the capacity to physically interact with NPCs within the game's instances. The narrative is punctuated by urgent warnings of a catastrophic collapse within the "Resentful Spirit High School Instance," where characters are lost and the map suffers epic destruction. Data analysis fails, instance structures become abnormal, and all players within are forcibly ejected.
