Liv Brodbeck faces numerous challenges from the outset. Physically small and with brittle bones, she cannot perform strenuous tasks and is prohibited from activities like wrestling or sword fighting due to the risk of injury. Socially, she carries the burden of being perceived as having ruined her mother's life, overhearing whispers about their difficult circumstances. Despite her limited prospects, Liv's life takes a pivotal turn when she inadvertently unleashes wild magic. This event marks the beginning of an extraordinary journey, propelling her from the kitchens of Castle Whitehill to the distant palaces of the Eld and even to the graves of gods. The narrative focuses on the protagonist's long-term progression, beginning in childhood with significant physical and socio-economic disadvantages. Her undeveloped talents will gradually emerge as she matures. Relationships will evolve appropriately with her age, with any romantic relationships only occurring once she reaches adulthood.
