Growing up in her uncle's rural home, Tang Yan, born out of wedlock with an unknown father, achieved a significant milestone by gaining admission to Huadu University through her own hard work. However, her path took an unexpected turn when, upon her departure for university, her uncle's family ceased their support. With her mother remarried and unable to house her, Tang Yan was entrusted to Aunt Ji, a woman her mother described as once having been kind and willing to help. Upon arrival in the sweltering city of Huadu, Tang Yan was met by a sophisticated and welcoming woman who introduced herself as Aunt Ji, offering assistance and a warm smile. This seemingly straightforward arrangement, however, would irrevocably alter the course of Tang Yan's life, entangling her in unforeseen ways from the moment she began living with Aunt Ji.
