In Loki's Honor

In MDW's "In Loki's Honor," Earth faces widespread turmoil as youngsters disappear and whispers of apocalyptic events, gods, and dimensional travel become disturbingly real. For a New York computer engineer, this chaos is about to become their reality. Loki requires a secret champion to advance his Asgardian agenda without jeopardizing millennia of planning. Thrust into a primitive world and burdened by severe curses, this individual faces the daunting challenge of learning and evolving across numerous lifetimes. As an interloper in a virgin realm, Loki's champion must evade the local pantheon's pursuit while repeatedly dying and regenerating, adapting and growing in a harsh, indifferent world. They will ascend from the most basic life forms to the apex predator, acquiring what appears to be supreme power only to find higher pinnacles. The ultimate goal might be to escape Loki's schemes or, failing that, to preserve a pocket of the multiverse from total annihilation. This novel was a winner in the 2022 November writing contest.
