Incurable Pain

In "Incurable Pain," Bai Xunyin is rendered mute by childhood trauma, enduring years of bullying. Her life changes in her second year of high school when she meets Yu Luoyin, the school's most handsome and admired boy. He becomes her first protector, confidant, and lunch companion, sparking a fervent teenage crush. However, in their third year, Bai Xunyin witnesses Yu Luoyin's true nature. Behind his gentle facade, he reveals himself to be a cruel individual, confessing to friends that he used her affections for a bet and was merely bored. Devastated, Bai Xunyin stops interacting with him. Yu Luoyin's subsequent attempts to apologize and seek forgiveness, including self-harm, are met with her silence. He ultimately kneels, pleading for her absolution, calling her his "unspeakable incurable pain."
