Shepherding Humanity

During humanity's ancient tribal era, the world was a vast and unknown expanse. Through extensive exploration, early humans discovered the terrifying reality of God's presence on Earth. A colossal "Wise Beast," towering ten-thousand-feet high, could devastate mountains and shatter the land with its movements. Centuries later, in this perilous world, humankind not only survived but thrived, ultimately constructing the magnificent Sumerian civilization. However, their triumph was short-lived. The Wise Beast reappeared, bringing ruin by trampling over the land, destroying cities, and collapsing the sky. This catastrophic event prompts the question of divine punishment. The narrative reveals the beast's perspective: humanity is merely insignificant, "ants living in my yard," accidentally crushed during its passage. The story centers on a somewhat underwhelming Creator and his exceptionally capable creations.
