A shocking incident disrupts the peace of Cerou Street when an explosion-like sound is heard late at night. Amidst the sirens of emergency vehicles, news reports reveal the sole fatality: Norman, the renowned gigolo of Night Palace. A colleague obtained this information from Countess Maria, who held Norman in high regard. Meanwhile, in another world, a young boy sleeps soundly, disturbed first by sunlight and then by a persistent buzzing. He answers a call from a glass-like slab to a rude female voice. Still disoriented, he notices his surroundings have changed. His former dilapidated shop now appears improved, rectangular, with intricately patterned wooden shelves holding empty glass jars. A peculiar machine sits near the counter. Confused, he questions whose shop it is. A mechanical voice responds in his mind, "[The Omnistore belongs to you, host.]"
